ALAN PALMIERI

Executive Leadership & Operational Development

Throughout Alan’s 40 plus year career in the restaurant industry, he has demonstrated his unique ability to create an extraordinary company culture that drives an exceptional customer and team member experience and consistently deliver balanced results.

Alan has broad functional expertise and has a strong track record in delivering a consistently high level of operational success in both fast casual and polished casual dining restaurants. He developed both strategic and tactical plans that deliver financial results. His ability to address business issues both holistically and strategically result in effective solutions based on his industry knowledge, experience and perspective. Alan has worked in both corporate and private restaurant companies, large and small, as well as having been an owner in two companies. Those experiences were typically scratch kitchens and handcrafted bar operations with a strong focus on hospitality to create memorable experiences yielding loyal guests.

His principles based leadership style has been demonstrated throughout his career serving as an inspiration and mentor throughout the industry. He takes great pride in developing future leaders and bringing the best out in his teams at all levels…hourly, managerial and executive as he grew throughout the industry. Having opened over 1100 restaurants in his career, his impact can be seen throughout.

Alan attributes his successes to an “up through the ranks” career , having worked with some of the best leaders of this great industry. His senior leadership roles include: President of 110 unit Boston Market franchise, President of Bay Street Seafood Restaurants, EVP of Operations of Bahama Breeze, EVP of Operations of Urban Plates, Co-Owner of Marlow’s Tavern. His first 13 years in the industry were with Norman Brinker and S&A Restaurant , Norman is recognized as one of the founders of casual dining and has developed many of the industry’s leaders today…running companies throughout our industry.

Alan is proud to have been able to “give back” to such a wonderful industry serving as the 2019 Chairman of the Board of the Florida Restaurant and Lodging Association ( FRLA ) and a board member of the Executive Committee for 5 years. FRLA is one of the 3 largest restaurant associations in the country… California, Texas and Florida
