Since 2000, the Taco Bell chain closed more than 1,000 stores. In efforts to regain its footing in the fast-food landscape and compete with restaurants such as Chipotle Mexican Grill and Qdoba, Taco Bell will soon be introducing more upscale, gourmet foods to its menu.
