La Crepe Restaurant Success Story

La Crepe sought to revitalize and recreate a once-innovative brand in Guatemala, returning it to the quality establishment it once was. After growing from a single location to a 12-unit success story, then scaling back to a single concept after changing management, the brand faced fierce competition from new and emerging brands. To revitalize and recreate the brand, La Crepe planned to build a number of new prototypical La Crepe concepts and refresh the existing location to match the new brand’s increased standards in operations and menu quality.


Three Synergy consultants embarked on a three-city Discovery Tour in the U.S. and Guatemala to understand industry best practices and leaders as well as the competitive landscape in Guatemala City. To implement the brand refresh across units, a Concept Book for the new concept was created, providing direction for the brand moving forward. Synergy was then tasked with developing every aspect of the concept from the menu offerings to a variety of marketing materials.

Assigning an experienced project manager and a hand-selected team of consultants, Synergy supported ownership through each phase of the development process and then trained all staff in Guatemala City, remaining on-site through the opening process to ensure a successful launch of the concept.
