Brian McDonough has been navigating the Human Resources waters for restaurants over the past 24 years with major chains and independently for operations in every U.S. state, Mexico, Canada, and overseas. He assists restaurant operators and franchisees of all sizes with HR issues, including the acquisition of management talent, group teaching sessions, a quarterly newsletter based specifically on compliance, and integrating best practices into all employee training systems and restaurant policies. From an operations and risk mitigation standpoint, he has defended charges that include wage-related cases in multiple states with the EEOC and Department of Labor; safety-related issues with OSHA; worker’s compensation cases; guest injuries; and public relations matters including the NLRB, immigration difficulties, and crisis management-related concerns.
